Don’t just take our word for it – read what our wonderful family of customers have to say about our patient care.
I have had consecutive visits with Dr. Patterson for a corneal abrasion. I had pain and hadn’t slept in 2 days, my eye was swollen shut, and I could not see at all. When I got to the office, they took me back to an exam room right away, no wait time. Dr. Patterson was thorough and polite. Within 24hrs after my initial consultation and treatment, I was feeling so much better. The office was pleasant, and so was the receptionist. She even offered my dad water as he waited for me. I am so grateful to the doctor and his staff and would highly recommend Patterson Eye Center.
This was my first visit to Dr. Patterson’s office. It was a fantastic experience. Dr. Patterson answered all of my questions in detail. He was reassuring with my concerns. The staff was so nice and very helpful. I highly recommend this practice. The care was excellent!
Took my nephew for his first eye exam, I was extremely impressed with the doctor and the way that we were treated by everyone including the manager. Will recommend this place 10/10!!!!!

At our practice, we provide comprehensive eye care to ensure your vision remains healthy and clear. From nearsightedness or farsightedness to astigmatism and presbyopia – we ensure all bases are covered when it comes time for prescription glasses or contact lenses fitting appointments. Our sophisticated diagnostics help us to evaluate each patient’s distinct requirements and design your personalized treatment plan. We use cutting-edge technology, like digital retinal imaging, to pinpoint any eye difficulties you may be experiencing. With these diagnostic tools, we can detect even the most minor changes in vision before they become the signs of more serious issues.
We also offer regular follow-up care after the initial diagnosis or prescription. This includes checkups annually, depending on your age and risk factors for eye disease or other conditions that could affect your vision health. During these visits, we will evaluate any changes in visual acuity or ocular health since the last visit and discuss lifestyle modifications and adjustments to your existing glasses or contact lens prescription that may be beneficial for preserving good eyesight over time.
Additionally, if you experience any new symptoms between appointments, such as blurry vision or headaches related to eyestrain, please let us know so we can review and investigate further if necessary.
At True Eye Experts, you can trust that you are receiving the highest quality eye care from experts who understand how essential good vision is for everyone’s well-being, regardless of age.
Optometrists are advanced-level professionals providing primary vision care services such as eye exams, prescribing glasses or contact lenses, and treating certain infections with antibiotics when needed. Optometrists offer comprehensive care, helping diagnose concerns such as nearsightedness (myopia) or farsightedness (hyperopia), and can recommend solutions to help you see more clearly. Additionally, your doctor can diagnose and treat many eye conditions, perform minor surgical procedures, or co-manage complex surgeries with ophthalmologists when needed.
Ophthalmologists are specialized medical professionals who diagnose, treat, and manage severe ocular ailments through surgery, medication prescriptions, and comprehensive vision assessments. They can operate on the eyes and recommend drugs to treat conditions such as glaucoma or cataracts. Your optometrist may refer you to an ophthalmologist for additional evaluation or care if you suffer from a severe eye condition.
Licensed opticians are trained to fill prescriptions from ophthalmologists and optometrists. They measure patients’ faces for eyeglass frames that fit properly and also provide advice on frame styles that suit their face shape best. Additionally, they adjust eyewear to ensure proper fit so it is comfortable for the patient’s long-term use.
Great question! The best type of eye doctor to see is an optometrist. Optometrists can provide comprehensive vision care. An optometrist can diagnose and treat a range of eye conditions, from dry eyes to glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and more. An optometrist will take the necessary steps to become familiar with a patient to develop a tailored health plan.
The cost of an eye exam in Florida varies depending on the type of exam and the provider. Some providers may offer discounts or accept insurance plans that cover part or all of the cost. We advise checking with our True Eye Experts team for pricing specifics before booking an appointment.
