Certified Optometric Physician
Dr. Sherrie Teddy (Ted-ee) is certified optometric physician serving the New Port Richey area since 1983. After completing her education at Indiana University, Dr. Teddy worked at St. Luke’s Eye Clinic before starting her own practice. Dr. Teddy is known for her work with the legally blind and for her success with contact lenses, including bifocal, astigmatism and other hard-to-fit cases.
Dr. Teddy is a past president of both the Central Suncoast Optometric Association and the Lighthouse for the Visually Impaired and has served on the Calusa Business and Professional Women’s Association. She is a member of the American Optometric and the Florida Optometric Associations, serves on the Community Service Council and works closely with the Division of Blind Services. Continuing the practice of service she began as the president of Volunteer Optometric Service to Humanity at IU, Dr. Teddy provides free eye care to the needy through the Pasco County school system.
